Statement

Being a girl from the most backward district {Chittorgahr} from Rajasthan I was always discouraged to go for higher education but my father Late Mr B. L. Gurawa who himself was a principal in the senior Secondary insisted for higher studies and was very keen to get his children  specially girls to get education. Education is the most powerful weapon in the hands of weaker/deprived sections of the society. The socio-economic background and circumstances which I got during my childhood and adolescent determined me to go for teaching profession and moreover I believe that this is the only profession which generate knowledge and ideas and ultimately ideas are more important than any other cultural capital. After completing my post graduation I did B.ED and now I realize that that Bachelor of Education actually enhanced my teaching methodology

Teaching I believe has the capacity of nation building and this the most powerful weapon in the hands of intellectuals who direct the thought process of the world. As Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar symbolizes pen the most powerful weapon who can alter the fate of depressed classes. My research areas are Dalit literature, Ambedkarism, African literature, gender studies and  literature, Diaspora studies. Now most of my projects are sexual harassment, gender discrimination, and empowerment of marginalized section. This department is giving me an opportunity to go for my thrust are.
